Also available for : PC, PS3, Xbox360

<b>Update:</b> BioWare has released the following statement on its <a target="_blank" href="http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9661093" target="_blank">official forums</a>:<br/><br/><blockquote>"We are aware that some players are having issues importing the faces of characters from Mass Effect 1 or Mass Effect 2 into Mass Effect 3. The issue is likely in how faces were detected when imported from Mass Effect 1 into Mass Effect 2, and we're working on the best way to correct it for affected players.<br/><br/>As our teams work hard to address the importing of face codes we would like to call out a fan made tool that may be able to help PC users in the short term: <a target="_blank" href="http://masseffecttools.99k.org/index.php" target="_blank">Mass Effect Tools</a>"</blockquote><br/><br/>Original story follows:<br/><br/><hr><br/><br/>IGN is receiving reports from several readers that Mass Effect 3's character import system requires them to rebuild Commander Shepard's face.<br/><br/>Players who have used the same Commander Shepard since Mass Effect 1 are apparently encountering the problem. If you built a Commander Shepard in the first Mass Effect and played through Mass Effect 2 without modifying the character, Mass Effect 3 will restore him to the default settings. Players who modified their character at all in Mass Effect 2 seem to be uneffected.<br/><br/> <object id="vid_12525054c10ccb0e91ca3c27b9d4ec36" class="ign-videoplayer" width="468" height="263" data="http://media.ign.com/ev/prod/embed.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"><param name="movie" value="http://media.ign.com/ev/prod/embed.swf"/><param name="" value="true"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"/><param name="flashvars" value="url=http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/06/mass-effect-3-importing-a-character"/><param name="wmode" value="opaque"/></object> <div style="width:468px"><a target="_blank" href="http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/03/06/mass-effect-3-importing-a-character"><center>Importing a Character in Mass Effect 3</center></a></div><br/><br/>On Twitter, Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble <a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/#!/GambleMike/status/176668752107143168" target="_blank">confirmed</a> the issue, and we've reached out to EA to find out if a fix is planned.
